Brown Butter Toast with Wildflower Honey

Brown butter and raw wildflower honey are one of the great underrated pairings in food. Florabella honey, poured over still-warm toast with slightly salted brown butter, is the kind of thing you make once and then make every morning.

Ingredients

  • 2 thick slices good bread (sourdough or brioche)
  • 40 g unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp Florabella wildflower honey
  • flaky sea salt

Method

  1. Melt the butter in a small pan over medium heat, swirling gently until it turns golden and smells nutty (about 3–4 minutes). Watch carefully.
  2. Toast the bread until golden.
  3. Brush the toast immediately with the brown butter.
  4. Drizzle Florabella wildflower honey generously over the top.
  5. Finish with a pinch of flaky salt. Eat immediately.
